I use it for video editing and even plays battlefield 3 at good speed. If your looking to game do not go for i5 without a discrete graphics card. If it was 50 gbp cheaper I would rate it 5 stars. What stands out about this is the gaming performance for the price point, considering the mobility. AMD are getting it right in my opinion. An APU working in tandem with a separate, dedicated graphics chip does pay off. Just Cause 2 was the first game I tested, and on default settings the perceived frame rate was more than playable. I'm yet to try out any other intensive games, however I'm pretty sure Skyrim will run beautifully as well. Love the keyboard, coming from a 120wpm typist, feels light and quiet and everything is sensibly spaced. Only downside I've found is the glare of the webcam's picture quality, but that honestly doesn't matter to me at all. Even though I'm more specialised with desktop computers, this is the first decent laptop I've owned (and I spent far too long choosing). Couldn't recommend it more, simply because it just doesn't leave you waiting for things to happen. For a budget laptop, running DOW2 at maximum settings at 1366x768 comfortably has to be some credit. Fast boot time. Simple design, easy to use and some interesting software Interesting new take on multi core technology, allowing for many simultaneous programs to be run at once. Very light, considering it's a bit of a chunky 15 incher Cons: Design is a bit iffy, and very plastic. Makes it feel fragile Viewing angles for the screen are shocking. Make sure you look at it head on, or all you see is washed out colors. In short, good laptop for gaming on a budget as an alternative to take to LAN parties and for large amounts of PDF scrolling, but, unless you need the graphics, I'd advise an Intel CPU.
