9 of 10 people found the following review helpful  Assassins Creed 3 - To Buy or Not to Buy !, 2 Nov 2012 This review is from: Assassin's Creed 3 (PS3) (Video Game) Assassins Creed 3 is finally here, this time you'll find yourself in the USA as a new hero called Connor, I won't spoil the story but if you have the time Assassins Creed 3 can be epic. Unfortunately, Assassins Creed 3 is an update of Assassins Creed Revelations and sadly it doesn't stray much from its predecessor. Yes, the story is good but the open world setting feels a bit unnecessary at times as running through bustling cities does take the steam out of the story. It seems that more and more games are becoming triliogies and quadrologies but I honestly hope that this is the last we see off Desmond. The series feels tired, yes the controls have been updated and the game certainly has a lot more for you to do but sadly this isn't the Assassins Creed 3 I was hoping for. As someone who has played all of the Assassins Creed games to date, I can definitely say that this is the best game to date but sadly its too little too late, if you're new too the series you'll love it but if you've been a loyal follower this purchase really isn't worth
