I guess you get what you pay for considering it was so cheap. A few days later I decided that i'd rather spend more money to get a well known brand, that way I have more of a chance to get good quality and boy did I! This one ticks all the boxes! Its screen quality which of course is the most important aspect is fantastic and I haven't even connected my HDMI cable yet! Games look awesome on it and I play the latest, BF3 and SWTOR.Physically speaking it is also very nice, it has a chunky-ish border which i actually quite like and the screen is actually dipped in which gives it a very nice look. There's no annoying bright lights that stay on when its switched on "cough cough" acer. God only knows what this will look like when I connect the HDMI cable :) The only one little thing I will say though is that when I am typing the screen does shake a little, thought it was my desk but no. I think the screen is just extremely light. Went from a 19" 5:4 monitor to this one. The picture is very clear and bright - perfect for gaming. Also gaming in widescreen is far better as you get a bigger field of view. If anything the screen is slightly too big and, for me, a 22" screen would have sufficed. I had a slight heart attack when i plugged it in via HDMI and there was a big black border around the edge of the screen. Had to tinker with some setting in Catalyst Control Center as it had set it to "underscan", once found it was easy to correct. I think that is a software problem not an issue with the monitor. FYI the stand does not tilt or change height - I had to stick a copy of The Brothers Karamazov under it to get it just right. Went for the warehouse deals option and saved
